This rectangular shaped slate is perfect for panoramic images, group photos, or even personalised signage for special events like weddings, anniversaries, or corporate gatherings. Please note that we call these slates 15cm x 20cm but the printable area is 14cm x 19cm which still provides plenty of space for vibrant, custom designs.
Please note: As a natural product, the sizing of each slate may vary slightly, adding to its unique character and we cannot guarantee slates will be exactly the same. Also it is quite normal for the edges to be cut in ways that may appear rough but are still coated in sublimation coating that you will be able to see due to it's white colour. These would fall within the normal manufacturing parameters for these products.
Please Note: Due to the natural composition of slate, slight variations in size, shape, texture, and edge finish are completely normal and to be expected. These natural characteristics are part of what makes each photo slate unique. All sublimation photo slates, regardless of manufacturer, may differ slightly from the stated dimensions. As such, minor discrepancies will not be considered defects and are not eligible for refunds or replacements.

We have tested these photo slates and recommend pressing them upside down so that the heat goes through the back of the photo slate. Heating the paper directly can cause the paper to burn and the result will not be as required.
If you are not getting good results by heating through the slate you can also heat the slate face up i.e. heating the sublimation paper directly. However if you are doing this please ensure you halve the heating time listed below. e.g. if it says 8 minutes change this to 4 minutes.
We always recommend using our 2mm thin silicone FAB Pad so that you can sublimate on the rough edges of the slate to create a seamless image.
Larger slates are generally not suitable for clamshell presses as placing the slate too close to the hinged area can apply too much pressure and crack the slate. Swing away presses are best suited for this.
We also recommend pre-heating slates if they have been stored in a colder area as the sudden temperature change can cause cracking.

I really like these and find them extremely popular! I tend to do these at 200c/440s with the slate on top of the paper. They come out extremely well, however measure the print area first, due to the ragged edge, it is not always the size quoted on the box
I?ve only made a few of these but the quality has always been great. I did get one that had a fault but one phone call to a lovely lady snd a replacement was sent out straight away with no quibble, just asked for a photo for proof which I don?t think I?d too much to ask. It arrived in no time. Great customer service
